Video: The Yosemite 2012 Photowalk

Above you see another of my HDR photos I’ve shot recently at the Volkswagen “Autostadt” in Wolfsburg, Germany. I like the sky and also the details you can see inside the building.

Here is an interesting video by the “Scobleizer”, Robert Scoble, about a photowalk in the Yosemite National Park with Trey Ratcliff:

Happy Rizzi House

James Rizzi has died

Pop artist James Rizzi has died at the age of 61 on Monday, the night after Christmas, in his studio in New York.  The cause of his death was not announced. On his website you can read:

“His sudden and unexpected death comes as a shock to family, friends, and collectors alike. [...] In James Rizzi the art world loses one of the last great pop artists, and we lose a good friend and a wonderful human being.”

James Rizzi has a strong connection to Braunschweig: the “Happy Rizzi House” was built here and opened in 2001. His last visit to the city was in late 2008.

Last week, the American blues-legend B.B. King performed at the “Kraftwerk” at Autostadt Wolfsburg in Germany. Before driving to the venue, he signed autographs for his fans in front of his hotel. I took the shot above during this time.

Short film “Das Hotel”

In the last two weeks me and three friends participated in a seminar to learn video production and cutting at our university. During this seminar
we made a short film called “Das Hotel” to practice. You can watch it right here:

Happy Easter to everyone!

A goshawk in the backyard

Habicht2

Recently, this goshawk rested in my backyard eating some kind of prey animal. I immediately grabbed my camera and so I was able to take this shot. Sometimes you just have to look outside the window to shoot something exciting.
